We have been established in the Hutt Valley community teaching English to former refugees and migrants, since 1996. Originally starting out as ESOL Home Tutors, we matched volunteers with a new settler for English lessons in their home for an hour a week. We still offer this service but now run over twenty classes ranging from full-time New Zealand Certificate in English Language, English for Employees, ESOL Literacy and general English classes. Our classes are located throughout Lower and Upper Hutt and our Centre office is located at 27 Kings Crescent. Each year we run two volunteer tutor courses for locals to come and learn about working with a person from a different country and cultural background.
